Running Club
Our Physical Education Running Club
Where: Green Elementary Grass Field
When: Mornings before school from 7:15 - 7:27 am
Recess from 9:15 - 9:30 am
Why: To produce ready-to-learn students who are physically fit.
Running Club * Five mile "tokens"
Incentives * Twenty-five, fifty and seventy-five mile "token numbers"
* Fifty mile t-shirts
* Seventy-five mile pizza party
* One hundred mile trophy
* The awards are announced at the morning flag salute for
special recognition

The Green School Running Club is open daily to all students, teachers and parents, weather permitting.
Each day before school the P.E. Department, with the support of a small group of parents, supervises a Running Club. Students, teachers, and parents can log laps around the grass field. Five times around gets you a mile—students with the highest number of miles by the end of the year receive special awards.
